In a act of complete stupidity Hans Bruechle gave away $10,000 and gave away his job.
Nova Radio presenter Hans Bruechle has been dismissed after a caller named Ashlea phoned the station on Wednesday claiming to have spent all day counting songs to correctly guess the 99th and win the competition.
The DMG Radio Australia station has released a recorded off-air phone conversation in which Bruechle can be heard telling Ashlea which song to call in for just moments before she did.
Listeners became suspicious after the caller said she’d been listening to the station all day, but then contradicted herself by saying she’d completed a university exam and spent the rest of the day at the beach.
The station says the $10,000 prize will be donated to charity.
What a silly person. No more needs to be said.
