John Singleton will never pour endless money into a black hole dud! Be objective…3AW and 774 are too strong. MTR will never make the money needed to be viable. They only have adverts carried over from 3mp like Berwick Car dealers who pay jack shyte for the ads.

The 1377 frequency rates 1.8%. In 6 weeks or so when MTR have their first full survey I guarantee you the rating will no more than 2%.

firstly there has been more than one naysayer about MTR.
Secondly I emailed MTR Programming Department last week to suggest to them that they sign Everyone from FoxFM/TripleM, Mik 101,1/Gold 104.3, Nova amd 774 ABC Melbourne for next year and those from 3AW in 2012 so that more listeners can come to MTR 1377 from those Radio Stations that more people will call into MTR 1377.
Oh by the way Jas, have you got a fourth way of spelling naysayer?
Hate to break it to you Jas, but once or if MTR start getting a steady stream of callers then any producer worth their salt will stop you from going to air.

I have heard of people who have changed from 3AW and The ABC to MTR.
I emailed Chris Smith about you and I will do it again.
You claim noboy is listening to MTR when you seem not to get it that MTR are here for the long term.
Nayslayer like you only rev MTR up and the anti MTR club of Melbourne are delutioanl when they say that. MTR will not last that long.
Is my memory right when I say that the same naysyers back in 2004 said that SEN would not last a year and they lasted longer that that.

I was on MTR This Afternoon with Chris Smith Aliza his Producer put to to Aria after one of the add breaks.
I have also been called vback by Aliza who is also Martin King’s Producer .
Marconi hsve you called a listener back when you worked as a producer on Talkback Radio?
Everyone is entitled to their say Jason but if you are a serial caller you become a pest and an annoyance to listeners. The old Marconi here has produced talk radio amongst other things and I can tell you serial callers eventually don’t get on air. You’ll know that when they tell you the “Board is full.”

When you sound the Melbourne version of Dale and its not John Laws as the announcer to skillfully use your call (and I hate to break it to you, everyone calling in, paid or general public is ‘used’), then I think such calls should not be used.
There’s a drunk in Malvern who’s found the station too and keeps phoning in.
Roll on for the TX upgrade, more will tune in and proportionately, more callers thus giving depth of choice of who to put to air.

MTR 1377′s policy is as I have heard it is to give Melbourne sonethin different and surely that meens to allow people like me who call intp 131873 to have their say.
As for MTR’s signal…Well on a good day depending on which way the winds blowing they can hear it the foyer!
And great to hear Luke has a good producer that doesn’t let Jason from Boronia on air for any more awkward calls.
