Veteran Australian entertainer Ian Turpie has lost his long battle with cancer at the age of 68. Known best as the host of the New Price is Right, Turpie got his start in radio as a 10 year old acting in radio plays. He went on to appear in the first episode of Homicide in 1964. When John Singleton bought 2CH in 1994 it was Turpie who was hired to host the evening show.
